Thank you VAMLIS

Craig, Branden and Teresa would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth last week at the VAMLIS conference in Charlottesville.
We had a chance to talk to a lot of interesting people about GIS and asset management. I would also like to congratulate David Kinder on winning the iPod nano from TRANSMAP's conference give away.
We look forward to next years conference.

Meeting with the City of Fresno

On Wednesday, April 30th, TRANSMAP headed out to the City of Fresno to review the point asset delivery. Along with a presentation of the point assets, TRANSMAP also provided an Asset Condition report and large maps of the signalized intersections, traffic signs and other point infrastructure within the city. This was the last deliverable and Scott Krauter with the city provided some valuable feedback regarding the project. Scott was extremely pleased with the customer service that TRANSMAP provided to the city.

2D Laser Scanner for Ditch Profiling

A customer has asked me about the new 2D laser technology that TRANSMAP is collecting on all projects. They wanted to find out if we could profile roadside ditches. Since there are many applications for the 2D laser and TRANSMAP is still finding new ways to apply this technology I asked our partner if Ditch profiling is possible. Below is a recap of my discussion with our technology partner.
