Thank you Azteca

Craig and Branden would like to thank everyone who dropped by the Transmap booth and had to listen to my lecture about asset/pavement management before they got their cards punched. Snowbird was a beautiful location this year and the weather was great.

I had a chance to golf with everyone on Sunday and my team came in second. This was the first time I was able to Golf on fathers day.

Thank you Azteca for a great conference I hope to see everyone next year in the desert.

TRANSMAP® introduces our new quality team

On May 6th, 2008 TRANSMAP® formed a quality group that will examine current QC methodologies and implement a robust Quality plan to ensure customer satisfaction. The initial expectations were to identify shortcomings, document procedures and identify inadequate processes. Staff feedback is appreciated, as it will enhance our group's success and therefore maximize the customer experience.

meeting with Allegheny County

Last week, Craig and I drove to Allegheny County to discuss the progress of the project. It was my first time meeting the staff and I was impressed by their friendliness and commitment to the project. Eric Allen is the project manager for the County and he will be sending me an updated driving map soon. Also, the County will be picking a 1-2 mile pilot area for us to extract pavement distress data and point and linear assets. I am looking forward to working with the County over the next few months.

Focus on Quality!

TRANSMAP’S quality group was excited to present to the staff today, in a “lunch and learn” session, details about our group and the implementation of our Quality Assurance (QA) Plans.

Our QA plan’s foundation is modeled after the ESRI™ Instructional Series Podcasts on “QA/QC for GIS Data.”
Using those plans we outlined the following:
- The Quality Group Goal – To develop and institute a Quality Assurance program to efficiently review, correct, and validate data quality throughout a project
